Blind Veterans UK
Case Study: A Landscape Analysis for an Informed Data Transformation Project
The Challenge
The Brief
Blind Veterans UK came to Euler to find more about how data was being handled across the organisation and where improvements could be made. The Blind Veterans UK team were aware that they had five separate databases, managed by five different teams, and so wanted to know how best to move forward with their data to make sure they were not missing any fundraising opportunities.
The Analysis
During the detailed analysis of Blind Veterans UK’s data landscape, Euler discovered a duplication rate of more than 40% across the databases. By not acknowledging the dual role of so many customers, the charity was missing out on opportunities to create targeted communications and so strengthen involvement, loyalty and advocacy.
The Outcomes
Outcomes of the Data Landscape Analysis included a recommendation from Euler for how Blind Veterans UK could improve their processes to deliver operational efficiencies, higher quality data, and a better understanding of their supporters.

“The Euler team were methodical and thorough, finding the right people to talk to about every detail. It was particularly helpful that they were able to engage with staff effectively, breaking down barriers and winning buy-in.”
