The Mission:
As demand for housing support continues to rise, Shelter needed better access to data to ensure resources were directed where they would have the greatest impact. The charity relied on a complex network of fundraising, service delivery and supporter management systems, making it difficult to build a complete picture of supporter engagement and organisational activity.
With data held across multiple disconnected platforms, reporting was often manual and time-consuming, limiting the organisation's ability to respond quickly to changing circumstances. Therefore, Shelter chose to partner with Euler to create a single source of truth that would bring together supporter and operational data, improve visibility across the organisation and provide the foundation for faster, more informed decision-making.
Euler worked with Shelter to create a centralised data warehouse that could bring together information from fundraising, supporter engagement and service delivery systems into a single source of truth.
Built alongside the charity's existing Microsoft Dynamics environment, the solution gave teams a more complete view of supporter interactions while providing the flexibility to integrate additional data sources as requirements evolved.
With connected data and improved governance in place, Shelter gained faster access to reporting and insight across the organisation. Teams could analyse supporter behaviour, monitor service delivery trends and respond more quickly to emerging challenges, helping the charity make better-informed decisions and deliver more effective services to those who need them most.
How did Shelter create a single source of truth?
Euler helped Shelter bring together data from fundraising, supporter engagement and service delivery systems into a centralised environment, providing a more complete and consistent view of organisational activity.
How did the solution improve access to insight?
By reducing reliance on manual reporting processes and connecting previously siloed data sources, Shelter gained faster access to information that could be used to support operational and fundraising decisions.
How did Shelter become more responsive to change?
With quicker access to data and reporting, teams could identify emerging trends, monitor campaign performance and respond more rapidly to changing circumstances across both fundraising and service delivery.
How did the project support future growth?
The new data foundation was designed to accommodate additional systems, data sources and reporting requirements, giving Shelter the flexibility to evolve its data strategy as organisational needs changed.
Performance Highlights:
Here's what we achieved through a combination of data, technology and expertise.
Teams gained significantly faster access to information, enabling quicker decisions and more responsive operations.
Previously disconnected sources were brought together to create a more complete view of supporter and organisational activity.
A connected data foundation reduced silos and improved access to insight across the organisation.
Shelter gained the ability to manage and analyse large volumes of data more effectively, supporting both fundraising and service delivery objectives.
Shelter:
Euler works as an extension of our team, they feel no different to the internal team. I don’t feel they are any less passionate, any less committed or any less part of the team. That is unique, it doesn’t happen often.
